02 · Clash Manager

Group a whole clash test by level, grid, or property in one run

Auto-group every clash of a test by nearest level, grid intersection, assignee, status, source file, or any property of either clashing item. Add a second rule to split the groups further. The clash tools need Navisworks Manage.

  • Set a minimum group size so one-off hits stay ungrouped
  • Pick any element in the model to find every clash touching it and group them in one step
  • Rename groups in batch by status, test name, tolerance, or a custom name
  • Build the clash matrix from nested selection set folders in Excel, preview the load, and update existing tests in place
  • Append each Detailed report to a clash history workbook that Excel pivots and Power BI read directly

Spread a grouping's elements apart along up to three axes so the breakdown can be inspected piece by piece.

  • Separate by level, system, contractor, or phase

How do I install the plugin?

Download and install directly from the Autodesk App Store. The installer adds a new ribbon tab to Navisworks Manage or Simulate the next time you launch the application. Administrator rights are required for installation.

Does it work with Navisworks Simulate?

Group Elements, the Selection Set Manager, reports, take-offs, and property import and export work in both Navisworks Manage and Navisworks Simulate. The Clash Manager, Clash Results, and the clash matrix tools need Navisworks Manage, because Simulate has no Clash Detective.

Is there a free version?

A 30-day free trial covers all features with no restrictions. After the trial, a Monthly or Annual subscription is required to continue using the plugin.

How is it licensed?

Licensing is handled entirely through the Autodesk App Store and tied to your Autodesk account. No separate license server or key entry is required.

Can I use it on multiple machines?

Yes. A single subscription is tied to your Autodesk account and can be signed in on multiple machines, subject to the Autodesk App Store terms of use.

What happens after the 30-day trial?

The plugin remains installed but the features stop working until a subscription is started. Your settings, selection sets, and configurations are preserved.
